Yana Possemiers

I’m currently in the first year of my Master in Biomedical Engineering, specializing in biomechanics. For me, Biomedix is a great way to support fellow students and help make their time as students more enjoyable. I enjoy staying active—doing nothing just isn’t for me. I like to keep busy with sports, creative projects, hang out with friends and I also love baking and cooking.

Camille Louagie

I am a Biomedical Engineering graduate currently pursuing a Master’s in Medical Physics, where I bridge the gap between cutting-edge technology and healthcare. Alongside my studies, I am an active member of Biomedix, working to enhance the academic and professional experience of Biomedical Engineering students both during their studies and beyond graduation. Outside the classroom, I lead a dynamic and active lifestyle, with a passion for cooking, sports, and adrenaline-filled adventures. This balance of academic dedication and energetic pursuits drives me to approach challenges with creativity, resilience, and enthusiasm.

Hanne Van Thienen

I’m a first-year Master’s student specialising in biomechanics. I joined Biomedix to feel more connected with fellow students and to be a part of a strong community. I’m excited to grow personally and professionally while helping create fun and inspiring events for students. In my free time, I love getting lost in a good book, baking something sweet, taking a refreshing walk in nature or playing the piano.

Hannelore Mussen

I’m a second year masters student, with a passion for developing technology in healthcare to help people. I joined Biomedix to step outside of my comfort zone, to learn new skills, and to organize events that people can enjoy. Fun fact about me: I enjoy building wooden model boats in my free time. My motto? 'You’ll never know until you try! '

Lauranne Brouwers

This year, I’m in my third Bachelor with a major in Biomedical Engineering and a minor in Mechanical Engineering. It’s also my first year with Biomedix, and I’m really excited to contribute as a member of the Sponsorship team. Together with Biomedix, I hope to inform and connect fellow Biomedical Engineering students, and above all, to make sure we have a great time! I’m especially looking forward to the internal activities such as the Biomedical Dinner and the team-building events, as well as the collaborations with other working groups (more on that later 😉). Outside of my studies, I like to stay active, enjoy game nights with friends, or try out something tasty in the kitchen.

Olga Smoliar

I’m a first-year Master’s student specialising in tissue engineering and on Erasmus in Lisbon during the first semester!! I joined Biomedix to connect with fellow students and to contribute to a supportive and inspiring community. I’m excited to learn and grow, while helping to organize fun events that bring people together. Outside of my studies, you might find me on a tennis court, spending time with friends or wandering around the city.

Lars Van Noten

I’m a second year master student specializing in Biomedical Data Analytics, which I combine with a master in AI engineering. Alongside my studies, I enjoy working on side projects that allow me to broaden my skills and explore new challenges. That is also why I joined Biomedix, to develop new skills such as event organization, while at the same time showing other fellow students just how exciting and impactful the biomedical field can be.
